Del nuovo singolo è leakkato ieri un demo "vecchio" della canzone, è questa mattina sia sulla pagina Twitter di BritBrit che su quella del produttore dell'album è stato scritto che tale demo è "ormai" completamente out-of-date e la nuova versione è molto più bella, anche se la base rimane tale...speriamo! Ormai sono abituata a sorbirmela dagli anni '90 quando è diventata famosa con Baby One More Time, quindi il suo timbro vocale lo riconoscerei tra mille. Ma in questa canzone il timbro è TOTALMENTE diverso dal suo. Ok, è modificata da morire come traccia, essendo spudoratamente una canzone da discoteca, ma il timbro è comunque improbabile riuscire a modificarlo così tanto. Dal secondo in poi è sempre stata molto simile,anche se ultimamente sempre più ritoccata, cioè io la riconoscerei se dovessi ascoltare una suona nuova canzone presunta tale per la quale non si ha certezza sia effettivamente lei la cantante: ci sono troppi "versi", accenti e modi di pronunciare le parole che ormai conosco e che sono suoi... comunque il primo "feel" del ritornello del testo postato prima per me è sbagliato: è un "said", (e anche tutti gli altri "say" per me son tutti "said"), ma feel non so come l'abbia fatto a sentire quello che ha scritto il testo...e la frase mancante alla fine credo sia una cosa tipo "pop it like a hood" (oddio se fosse realmente così sarebbe tremenda) ma è talmente storpiata elettronicamente che non ne sono per nulla sicuro... Comunque, letting the dust settle, ad un giorno di distanza posso dire ce mi piace molto meno (il ritornello senza truzzaggio sotto è l'unica cosa che mi piace veramente). Anche se sinceramente l'unico suo live che ho visto è stato ai VMA di non ricordo quale anno, quando ha cantato Like a Virgin con Madonna e Christina Aguilera.. Vero, era fantastica, quel vestitino bianco le stava da dio e lei era una favola sul palco; è rimasto per parecchio tempo l'immagine che associavo a lei ogni volta che la sentivo nominare; sarà stato per il bacio (adorabile), oppure per la sinergia che il trio Maddy-Spears-Aguilera aveva sul palco, ma è veramente un video bellissimo! HIAM é stata paragonata a Take It Off di Kesha ed a Only Girl In The World di Rihanna ma le supera di gran lunga entrambe. Non resta che aspettare l'uscita del videoclip e del nuovo album... L'album sarà disponibile in due versioni, standard e Deluxe, la seconda contenente 3-4 canzoni in più rispetto alla prima. Non vedo l'ora!
