Molto discusso come personaggio.. ancora oggi c’è chi mette in dubbio le voci sul suo cambio di sesso.. Mistero resta anche la sua vera età che si crede oscilli tra i 60 e 70 anni.. Resta il fatto che è stata ed è amata ancora oggi dal pubblico.. Tra gli anni 70 e 80 ebbe maggior successo con la disco music..
