Le aziende più gay friendly negli USA

Ogni anno HRC (la più grande organizzazione per i diritti LGBT negli USA) pubblica una ricerca su come le più grandi aziende americane trattano i loro dipendenti LGBT e compila una classifica che va da 0 a 100.

i criteri sono i seguenti:

1a Prohibits Discrimination Based on Sexual Orientation (15 points)

1b Provides Diversity Training Covering Sexual Orientation (5 points)

2a Prohibits Discrimination Based on Gender Identity or Expression (15 points)

2b Provides Diversity Training Covering Gender Identity OR

Has Supportive Gender Transition Guidelines (5 points)

2c Offers Transgender-Inclusive Insurance Coverage for at Least One Type of Benefit (5 points)

(+ Offers Transgender-Inclusive Insurance Coverage, Including Surgical Procedures)

3a Offers Partner Health Insurance (15 points)

3b Offers Partner Dental, Vision, COBRA and Dependent Coverage Benefits (5 points)

3c Offers at Least Three Other “Soft” Benefits for Partners (5 points)

4 Has Employer-Supported Employee Resource Group OR

Firm-Wide Diversity Council (15 points)

(/ Would Support ERG if Employees Express Interest, half-credit)

5 Positively Engages the External LGBT Community (15 points)

6 Exhibits Responsible Behavior Toward the LGBT Community; Does Not Engage in Action That Would Undermine LGBT Equality. Employers Found Engaging in Such Activities Will

Have 15 Points Removed From Their Scores. (0 points)

Su 590 aziende recensite 305 raggiunfono il punteggio massimo (erano 260 l'anno precedente). La peggiore di tutte risulta essere EXXON l'unica ad ottenere zero punti.

Particolarmente importante il punto 3a prchè l'assicurazione sanitaria negli USA è fondamentale e solo in pochi stati le coppie gay possono sposarsi e quinidi ottenere di diritto la copertura sanitaria anche per il compagno.

Molto interessante! Se ci fate caso, dalle tabelle risulta che i servizi di consulenza bancaria, finanziaria, le assicurazioni, le aziende di alimenti e gli studi legali sono molto più glbt friendly rispetto ai servizi postali, alle imprese edili ed elettriche e alle case automobilistiche... Curioso?

Chissà cosa direbbero i risultati qua in Italia.
